SHIPPING (SAFE, PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERIANCED)
Dear POLISH POTTERY fans, Visitors and Followers of More4U and Poland Tailored Tours4U
Regarding my packing and shipping services and generally shipping operations from Poland and EU to the USA:
As of Nov 12th 2025- THE BLOCKADE IS STILL ACTIVE. Unfortunately, there is no debate between Poland (and EU) and the US administration about lifting the temporary blockade. I keep monitoring the situation.
It feld on us on August 22nd – completely out of the blue! Perhaps you have already heard about it ( e.g. by https://www.wfsb.com/2025/08/23/european-postal-services-suspend-shipment-packages-us-over-import-tariffs/ https://www.npr.org/2025/08/23/nx-s1-5513936/dhl-parcel-tariffs or https://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/european-postal-services-suspend-shipment-packages-us-import-124912854 ). Due to the significant political turmoil between the government of the US and European Union caused by the tariff issue, most European post offices (including Poland’s) have currently suspended shipping any goods to the US soil, including "de minimis" rule, which allowed individual packages worth less than $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free. In Poland this regulation has been directly applied on Aug 25th and will stay active till further notice ( unknown date).
UPDATE REGARDING SHIPPING TO USA
Dear Pottery Fans

, ( this post is a bit longer- forecast 6-8 min for reading and fact checking)
The postal blockade is still on

The SC

case last Weds over the tariffs has not changed anything , BUT

most of the judges have shown their skepticism about the policy. Polish comment on a very thorough and legitimate economic website :
https://stooq.pl/n/?f=1718769 summarized the assembly as follows: Wednesday's two-plus-hour Supreme Court hearing, as expected, was inconclusive. Theoretically, the Court could issue a ruling at any time. Decisions are usually issued in June, but the current case is being moved at an accelerated pace. According to the influential Supreme Court blog, SCOTUS Blog, a decision will likely be issued before Christmas.
So the spark of hope is still lighting

Is that a correct conclusion by the Polish commentaries vs. American reality? I am curious about your POV. You can leave it in the comment or PM me.
However (

) I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR YOU ALSO

! I have done all my very best and devoted significant amount of my time (and sleepless nights) to find a solution for you, my POTTERY FRIENDS!
Here is what I have figured out:
A)

POLAMER COURIER company AIR FREIGHT
I have started a collaboration with the courier company called POLAMER (
www.polamer.pl) and at least this option is available for shipments to the US. They ship to the US by UPS. Obviously they are substantially more expensive than the traditional Mail by Polish Post Office and USPS, on average:
- about 2.5- 3 times more than the Economic Sea Mail
- approx. 0.5- 2 times fold the Priority Air Mail
-

FINAL COST

of shipment depends on various factors ( e.g. size AND weight of final parcel(s) , zip code of the delivery address, value of pottery contents, exchange rate of Polish PLN to USD, possible other boxes sent together with that one to the same address at the same time etc.) – so quoting is ALWAYS subject to individual case and set of pottery
but at least it is an option. An INDISPUTABLE ADVANTAGE OF POLAMER + UPS is that it WORKS VERY FAST

Once parcels depart my office in Boleslawiec, it takes them about 5- 7 working days to deliver to your address! With traditional Polish Mail & USPS it used to be few weeks for Priority Air mail and 2- 3 months by Economic Sea freight. So spent money DO make difference here.
And due to the sustained general

% tariff policy (since Aug 2025) for all goods imported from the EU to the US, please note that:
• The tariff calculation is based on the value of the goods including shipping and insurance costs.
• As of August 29, 2025, the de minimis exemption, which previously allowed for duty-free shipments under $800, was suspended for most imports to the US.
• Customs clearance: This means that virtually all shipments are now subject to US customs duties and taxes.
• Additional fees: In addition to tariffs, other fees like customs clearance service fees and potential taxes can also be applied
So in other words, whether you are now buying Polish POTTERY in the US, or at the source in Boleslawiec – you are kinda made to cover the cost of the tariff, because the dealers in the US are automatically transfer that cost to the price on the shelve

.
B ) Shipping to

CANADA – if you live close by the border and perhaps have family, friends or a business there, parcels can be easily delivered by POLISH AND CANADIAN MAIL there
C) Shipping to

MEXICO – the same rule. However, I have never used this solution yet.
D ) Shipping to GERMANY

or another EU

country by DPD or GLS courier (reasonably cheap) – easy peasy , but then you have to figure out how to get it from there to the US of course. Perhaps through family or friends? US Army?
E) Shipping to family or a friend of yours (in Poland or EU ) who may be moving to the US soon and could do a favor for you by taking your pottery along
F) Packing your goods tentatively

(not as for shipping, but only careful carrying) and taking them with you. This solution would obviously add a significant risk of breakages, but with simple matching shapes, carefully carried in your carryon, could work out
G) Assisting you at purchasing a suitcase

at a local supermarket (they are available at Carrefour supermarket and CCC shop with footwear and bags) and providing you wrapping materials (cardboard inserts and bubble wrap) to take the goods with you. This solution is obviously limited by weight, size and shape of your pottery and generates extra costs of suitcase purchase and additional luggage (and with many airlines that charge is substantial, I know). Also the luggage staff at airports do not treat suitcases carefully, so the risk there is also serious. But I do know cases when it worked out with ZERO damage. Or you can repack your clothes to the extra luggage and carry the wrapped and secured pottery in your carryon.
H) And last, but not least-

leaving all your purchases with me, I continue the packing operation like the postal blockade did not exist and once it is over, I would ship your parcel(s) immediately. Quite a few boxes have been waiting in my storage for that moment to come.
However, this solution brings 2 questions : 1) when the blockade is lifted (this nonsense cannot last forever)

? 2) what the postal charges will look like after that happens

(to make up the lost revenue and update the rates by inflation, exchange rate and adapt to high rates of courier companies, I have no doubts the post offices will increase their stakes).
